Confiscation of the Property of All Emigrants and Rebels

The recent events of this past winter in the history of the United States of America have been quite polarizing. On one hand citizens of several states are celebrating the election of Joseph Biden as the 46th President of the nation. Citizens of the remaining states believe that there were severe election irregularities and machine-generated manipulation of votes.

President Biden has asked for unity. However, after the transfer of power to President Trump, it is evident that unity may not be possible. The new administration does not have the United States' best interests at heart. Patriots fear that the entanglements of the Biden family in Ukraine and China put the security of the country at risk. Only time will tell. People should pray for God's protection over the citizens of the Republic.

The purpose of this blog is to point out how the United States of America is being drug down the path of communism and how it relates to the role of the US citizenry and how Holy Scripture stands on the issues promoted by the Communist Party.

Today's blog topic is the fourth plank of the Communist Party: the confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels. It seems innocuous enough. These people have abandoned the USA, or they have caused some problems in the nation. However, as the Land of Opportunity that was built on property rights and rebellion against tyrannical authority, o
ne may ask how this could possibly be right.

Citizens who have emigrated, left the country to live in foreign lands, have abandoned their property. At least, this is they way the government could look at it. Even if these property owners have paid for the property in full and are current on their property taxes. Would it be right to confiscate their property? Could a communist government simply confiscate the property if the owner is merely out of country for an extended vacation? During the Communist Revolution in 1918, thousands of wealthy refugees emigrated to western Europe to avoid being arrested and executed for being aristocrats and members of the bourgeoise. their lands and homes were promptly confiscated for the use of the new Soviet government.

Who are the rebels? In Soviet Russia, it was whoever spoke out against the state and disagreed with the government's policies. According to the current administration, any person who voted for President Trump in the 2020 election needs to be reeducated or "cancelled." Are those people rebels now? Rebels in Soviet Russia were arrested for merely having conversations that were critical of government policies. They were sent to Gulags in Siberia to work as slaves for the State. Their legal property was also confiscated for the use of the State.

One wonders if this could happen in the USA. Has this policy already begun due to the "cancel culture" and "woke capitalism" that has infiltrated the country? People who speak up for traditional Judeo-Christian values on marriage and biological sexuality are being forced to resign from their jobs and could possibly lose their homes from the lack of income and not being able to find work to maintain their property. Could the State lump both emigrants and rebels into the same category and pass laws that would cause them to lose their property?

Based on the unconstitutional nature of several bills which have passed out of the House of Representatives since January and a slim Democrat majority in the Senate, there may not be much the People can do to stop this. Many elected and non-elected officials believe that the Constitution allows them to do whatever they want despite Article I, Section 8 and the Ninth and Tenth Amendments of the Constitution.

Where does the Bible fall on this issue? This issue has been addressed in past blog posts. The Ten Commandments are clear on this issue. Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not covet. Christ spoke on this as well. He stated that one should love your neighbor as yourself. If people live the life of Christ and love their neighbors, they will not elect people who will vote on laws that will confiscate property from law-abiding citizens.

Abolition of All Rights of Inheritance

The purpose of this blog is to inform people of how Communism as a political and economic system goes against Christianity, how it goes against what humans will naturally do, and how it has begun to be implemented in the fabric of the United States of America. I will first interpret each plank. Then, I will show how the plank goes against Judeo-Christian tradition. I will finally show how the plank has been implemented in various policies of the government of the United States and goes against the original intent of the Founders when the US Constitution was written.

The abolition of rights of inheritance is the third plank of the Communist party. It is completely counterintuitive to the human experience. Obtaining private property and the ability to pass it down to future generations in a family has been interwoven into the human experience since the beginning of time.

God promised the land of Israel to the Hebrews as an inheritance in the Pentateuch. The New Testament speaks of the Kingdom of God as an inheritance to those who believe in Jesus. The Law provides guidance for how property is to be divided after a parent dies. The parable of the Prodigal Son gives some insight into the Hebrew laws of inheritance when the younger son (the prodigal) demands his portion of his inheritance before his father dies.

In secular history there have always been provisions for property to be left for future generations. The English Common Law states that all of the real estate owned by a father will be passed down to the oldest son. The reason being is that if there was more than one son eventually the parcels of land would be too small to be productive if the land was divided equally among the children.

This plank has been used effectively in the United States to confiscate wealth for the government for 104 years. The inheritance tax was made permanent in 2012 where all estates (read private businesses and family owned farms) worth over $5 million would be taxed. This legislation was amended in 2019 to raise the limit to $11.5 million. Many people who inherit property in this manner do not have the liquid capital to pay the tax assessment on the estate. Therefore, the property must be sold to raise the funds to pay the taxes to the government which prevents those who were to benefit from the inheritance from doing so.

In conclusion, the Estate Tax as part of the direct tax upon citizens foisted upon Americans by the Federal Income Tax, which was addressed in an earlier post, is part of the Communists' goal to confiscate private property in the United States of America. The purpose of the estate tax is to prevent families from retaining the private property of their forebears and eliminate the right of family members to inherit property.

Income Tax

A Heavy Progressive or Graduated Income Tax

The purpose of this blog is to inform people of how Communism as a political and economic system goes against Christianity, how it goes against what humans will naturally do, and how it has begun to be implemented in the fabric of the United States of America. I will first interpret each plank. Then, I will show how the plank goes against Judeo-Christian tradition. I will finally show how the plank has been implemented in various policies of the government of the United States and goes against the original intent of the Founders when the US Constitution was written.

This is the second plank of the Communist Party and is a complicated issue. Many people may not know that the income tax has not always been legal in the United States. There was a brief period during the Civil War when Congress passed an income tax on the Union states which expired in 1870. Karl Marx published The Communist Manifesto in 1848 a mere thirteen years before the Civil War broke out. To levy the income tax which exists today, the Constitution needed to be amended.

The founders of the United States of America were very wise, and included a clause in the Constitution that prohibited a direct tax on individual citizens. The fourth sentence in Article I, Section 9 states, "No capitation, or other direct, tax shall be laid, unless in proportion to the census or enumeration herein before directed to be taken." This means that the states can be taxed based on the number of people counted in that state, but no tax should be directly taken from individual citizens.

The Sixteenth Amendment of the Constitution states, "The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several states, and without regard to any census of enumeration." This Amendment basically voided Article I, Section 9. The tax that exists is a progressive tax because people with low incomes are not taxed at the same rate as people with high incomes.

One may ask why the Sixteenth Amendment was necessary. The Federal Reserve was founded in December of 1913. The Sixteenth Amendment was passed earlier that year in February. These events are linked because the Federal Reserve borrows money from businesses and, in turn, lends it to the Federal Government. The businesses who worked to push the legislation through needed to get some sort of collateral on the loan. The government did not really have anything they were willing to offer, so it was agreed that a direct tax would be levied on the people of the United States. The Sixteenth Amendment was ratified in February. The Federal Reserve Act was passed out of Congress and signed into law on the last day of the lame-duck legislative session in 1913.

The way the income tax is applied to the American people is not constitutional. The Fourteenth Amendment states in Section 1, "...nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws." This clause was addressed to the States; however, when people who make a certain amount of money are taxed at a higher rate under a direct tax than other people based on the amount of money they make, this is not equal protection under the law.

Scripture also speaks on taxation. Referring back to the last post, this tax is covetous. The government wanted what it could not legally have, so it changed the rules so that it could take it by force. This is a violation of the Ten Commandments.

The Gospel of Matthew tells a story of Jesus Christ addressing taxes. There is a story where the Pharisees are trying to trap Jesus. They asked him, "Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not?" Jesus replied through asking them for a coin. Then Jesus asked them whose image was on the coin. They told him that a picture of Caesar was on the coin. Jesus told them to give Caesar what was Caesar and God what is God's. Jesus was stating that Caesar was not a god, but He was also pointing out that they were created in the image of the One True God. He was telling them that they were not giving to God what was made in His image.

There is another story in Matthew about the temple taxes. This is the one where Peter caught a fish that had a coin in its mouth which was enough money to pay the tax for both Jesus and Peter. One thing that may not stand out to the reader is that the temple tax was the same for everyone, two days' wages. This was a limited tax for temple maintenance and was not a progressive tax.

Saint Paul also addresses taxes in his letter to the Romans. He states that governments are established by God to defend citizens against those who do wrong. Therefore, if one owes taxes, then one should pay taxes. Paul is talking about the ideal role of government as the Founders brought forth in the Constitution. Citizens should obey God rather than man if rulers overstep their proper function as Peter and John stated in the book of Acts.

Now, this writer is not opposed to paying taxes. The government requires them to be paid so that it can perform what is its Constitutional role, protecting citizens from those who would do them harm. However, the progressive tax that has been foisted upon US citizens by rewriting the Constitution has given the government a blank check to do what it wants. One should read Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution which James Madison in Federalist Letter 48 confirmed listed finite powers to the Congress. This list of powers if followed would not require a direct, progressive tax on its citizens. Taxes should be limited to what the government should be spending and applied equally among the citizens.

Private Property

Abolition of Property in Land and Application of all Rents of Land to Public Purpose

The abolition of private property is the first plank of the Communist Party. My interpretation of this plank is that all real estate property becomes the property of the government (public purpose). The people who owned that land would no longer be able to receive the fruits of their labor for the work that they had done on that land in improving it and making it productive for crops or livestock.

Many people believe that the Christian tradition has communism ingrained within it. An example that people may use is the story of Ananias and Sapphira. This married couple were members of the early Church in Jerusalem. The members of the Church would voluntarily sell their property and donate the proceeds to be used by the Church to help other members who were in need. This couple sold a piece of property, but they did not give all of the proceeds that they had promised to the Church. They kept some of it back. Basically, they lied about how much money they were donating. They were struck down dead because they were dishonest about their donation, not because they did not give all of their money to the Church.

Two of the Ten Commandments address private property. "You shall not steal." (Deuteronomy 5:19) "You shall not covet your neighbor's wife. You shall not set your desire on your neighbor's house or land, his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor." (Deuteronomy 5:21) When the government confiscates land from rightful landowners, it is stealing. Even if the legislature writes laws stating that it is legal to confiscate such lands, it is stealing. The second verse that is quoted is very specific about what is not to be coveted. The word covet means to desire something. What the scripture is saying is that we should not desire something or someone that is bound (belongs) to someone else.

This plank of the Communist Party is counter to Judeo-Christian believes and is immoral because it involves stealing and desiring something that does not belong to the government (state). Christianity is not communist, and this is supported by the Ten Commandments, the moral law handed down by God.

Welcome To My Blog

The events of the last few months and years have polarized the United States of America. The Church has moved away from the Gospel. The government has veered sharply from the bounds of the Constitution. People want to avoid talking about either religion or politics because they are under the impression that it is not polite.

The goal of this blog is to demonstrate how religion and politics are inseparable in the public square. The people of the USA have deviated from moral boundaries of both their faith and Constitution to their peril.

This writer will use scripture, the Constitution, and current events to show how religion and politics are intertwined. The first few posts will investigate how the ten planks of the Communist Manifesto are counter to Christian principles.

You can find me on Facebook, Twitter, Parler, and MeWe.

May God richly bless you and the United States of America.
